ADD/ADHD

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, in short ADHD, is a mental disorder that results in several behavioral issues, marked by the following:

  1. Inattentiveness: showing lack of comprehension, focus, and inability to remain persistent.
  2. Hyperactivity: Mild to severe restlessness where a person cannot sit still or rest for long.
  3. Impulsiveness: Acting hastily and facing difficulty in making core decisions like when to say, what to say and what to do.

Above three are the basic behavioral issues faced by individuals suffering from ADHD. Earlier it was known as Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD). The word/term “hyperactivity” was added to it considering how inattentiveness is closely related to hyperactivity. It may affect how you behave in various situations and affects your sleep. Individuals with ADHD have a hard time trying to sleep and find it difficult to retain sleep.

The onset of ADHD starts from an early age and may continue as they grow. Adolescents with ADHD show lack of focus in studies, are restless, overly sensitive and hard to control. It is due to this disorder that sometimes the kid is a little too naughty to handle. Adults with ADHD seem to have a tough time managing their time, setting goals, and keeping it organized. Such adults face difficulties holding on to something (job, chores, goals, etc.) for long, as they lose interest in it with time. Kids and adults both, they remain alert and restless even when they are supposed to relax, i.e. during a nap or sleep.

Ritalin, Adderall, and Modafinil are all meant to help you focus and stay calm. They help you relax and be focused on doing what you are meant to do. These medicines along with some physical and psychological sessions work well in helping you tackle ADHD.

Please do not decide on your own whether if you have ADHD or not. At www.bestmedico.biz we suggest consulting your doctor before taking any medication.
